I am in agreeance with the majority of what has been said.

I think the issue that has been raised is talk of newbies being targeted via PM and encouraged to "avoid" riding with some people and are taken on rides which appear to avoid going on KSRC organised rides.

This is my understanding, alot of people are posting without knowing some of the key points which have been raised and merely responding to a generalised subject.

If people want to organise a ride or rides for newbies then post them, I don't see or understand why these people should be contacted in secret to come out on a ride. Post a Newbie ride.. end of story, and end the BS once and for all...

This has nothing to do with whoever and joe blogs who are mates or whatever saying lets go for a ride, so people can forget that BS cause it is nothing to do with that.

IMO if people want to be secretive and build a following that avoids contact on KSRC then perhaps KSRC isn't the place for them as it is not what KSRC is all about. 99% of people on here are from other clubs also so I don't see how going on rides with other groups has anything to do with this subject either.

At the end of the day rumours are one thing and facts are facts. And we would like certain rumours to either come out in the open so that are known as being fact and then they can be addressed.. end of story.

And this isn't necessarily about 1 person either, there are a few other little issues going on.

Also for those that like the grading idea, then we can simply make a sticky post and for those people organising a ride they can feel free to use it if they wish..

Example..

My Smitty... Feels like organising a ride to encourage the "Junior" riders to go out for a sedate run then posting it as a Newb ride or whatever people will know what the day is about and can then chose whether or not they chose to participate. No bitching about it being to slow.. It was posted as a Beginer ride end of story if you were to stupid to ignore it and want to go tear arsing through the twisties and not stick with the group rules then I'd say you'd be told not to bother turning up to another newb type ride again.

or on the flip side, a few people want to go hard and would like or without offending anyone can post an experienced ride.. ie 600's and above or whatever.

Either way it could simply be used as a guide or tool for people posting rides if they so wish. No one is saying it would be a requirement, but prob a good move to encourage newer riders to get out there in a more laid back environment. And give a few tips, etc.

IMO Vic doesn't need it.. But that's not to say that having a few ride days just for Newb's isn't a top idea to help boost their confidence.

As for NSW that's someone from NSW's call..

And QLD, well the same.

But the bullshit talk behind peopls back has to stop. And that I know isn't rumour. Cause it went on in Vic.

I reckon that BigTez is a trouble maker :P

First he starts a post about selling his bike that turns into a melee on chicken strips - then this...

Save KSRC Qld - Ban the Tez!!!

Sorry Dan I dont do structured group rides. They are not for me. Happy to ride with up to four others, but more than that just turns into a shitfight with egos / wannabes / hasbeens. Refer previous four pages.

Hmmm seem to be worrking towards a more careing group, i dont get to read the pms  and i am sure the moderaters have more to do with their time.

We dont seem to usually have enough rides or really inexperianced riders to need to grade them out but it seems like a good idea anyway. :D

So bring on the newbie rides i will probably need one once i have a licence. :D

Ohh and well said dan, If i have to say something i say it on the forum and occaisonally have to self moderate/fix the typos.
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

Umm sorry I dont think that reads quite right........
I didnt mean that by refering to the prev four pages you are all a bunch of egotistical wannabe hasbeens....... But if you have ever been on a large group ride you will understand what I mean by the pecking order and mix of people associated.

One last thing....

I will put up a poll to see what interest there is in newbie rides / slow rides, graded rides or non of the above...
