Smitty, if you are going to be going two up every now and again, cut the Z750 & Z1000 out of the options. Neither of them are great for pillions. The seat is hard and uncomfortable, the pillions' knees will be up around her ears, & there are no grab rails, just a silly little strap that is next to useless.

Cheers

I was thinking ZZR11 or 1200 but then thought track days..hmmm.
I can tell you about the ZZR1200 if you like, in fact bugga it I will :P
First of all once you have riden one you would love it.
Has a little more go than a 9R I think (Ponti can verify that as we had a roll on once or twice) and a bit less than a 12R (because I could barely keep up with them), silky smooth box in comparrison and can sit comfortably at 200-240 all day, it is well planted and super easy to ride with a great pillion seat with rails, tran's oil cooler, bigger fairing and screen, you sit in the bike more and is cheaper to run than both the 9 and 12. (450km - 21litre tank.) Down side, bit ugly for some but I like it, too bulky to chuck around a track but still agile enough on the twisties, center stand, it is not a Ninja in Australia and I wish I still had mine.. 8)

The 2004-05 dark blue ? - updated damping.
2003 light Blue.
2002 Black

I have recently had a couple of rides on a ZRX1100 - the colour scheme/looks didn't ever appeal to me but having ridden it I can say they're definitely worth considering (go the 1200 tho).

Also, don't fence yourself in because you're a Kwaka fans, there are plenty of other great bike options out there. I've never been a Honda man and yet here I am extremely happy with my VTR.
