Where's Noah?

Fri Jan 20, 2006 7:34 pm

I've just got the wettest I've ever been while being dressed...well, except for that time I fell through the ice in a hotel swimming pool in Falls Creek in winter.

Gale-force winds, with a torrential Queensland-like horizontal volume of water. Never seen (or felt - it bloody hurt) anything like it and had buckley's of seeing anything as subtle as the road or oncoming cars. I had to pull over for twenty minutes until it had died down slightly.

The Tiger Angel Goretex top held its own by the way, although my Draggins were saturated to the point they couldn't hold any more water and my boots filled up with water. The Alpinestars Boots did well with water coming in from outside, although they could do much with the water running down my legs.

Maxed out the weather radar over the Bay. I think I copped the red bit at the top, it doesn't really give you an idea of the wind sheer though...

It's an experience, that's for sure Mick! Ridden in that type of rain myself and it's like an ostacle course! Just be glad it wasn't foggy as well - that can be a nightmare!
