Mate, that bike does it for me, what I'd give for an extra 3" of leg.

I wonder if anyone's actually lowered one of these to the point I could ride it.

Does anyone know if this is something a Bike Dealer would undertake to help persuade someone to buy one, or is it a case of buy one and adjust it to suit? And stiff shite if it doesn't...

Karen, what did you do with your ZZR? Adjust, try and buy? Or buy and then adjust?

Mick,

If you had the cash I'd like to think most shops would fall over themselves to help if you you said "I'll buy it if you can make me comfortable on it".

Good review and well spotted Ian.

Aprils performance bikes had a 3 way compare between Z750, FZ6 & Hornet 600. All the testers said the z was the most exciting & enjoyable bike but if pressed to put money down would choose the h*nda ???????? because of its reputation, Go figure !!

Mate, I agree, even the testers agree the z was more fun, just said that if it were their money they'd by the honda.

Ive got that same comparison Matt. Good article except for the soft-cock ending! Read through this and tell me that they didnt get a little kickback from Honda!

-------------------
Choosing between the Kawasaki and Honda isnt easy.On the basis of this test, all three of us get most excited by the Z750: "The Kawasaki wins," says Kev. "Its got the bigger motor, more power, and thats what we all want, isnt it?"
True, but theres much more to the Zed than that. The riding position is pure aggro, handling is tight, braking is plentiful, styling is tough, details like the illuminated clock colour are bang on, and, best of all, the price is right. It would be the easy winner if it werent for one, small, lingering doubt. All three testers agree that if we were actually choosing to spend money on any of these bikes, as opposed to simply saying which we liked the most, theres a fair chance we'd end up with the Honda.
"Small, compact, nimble handling, amazing brakes, plenty of tuning and bolt on options, known quantity, track record of reliability, ease of use, grin factor, most comfy long distance....where do you want to stop?" says Bob. "It hasnt got the attitude or the engine of the Kawasaki, but youre paying for peace of mind," says Kev.

----------------------

I dunno about you guys, but the only thing I buy for peace of mind is insurance.

Ive also got another review which compares the Z750, FZ6, Ducati 800 monster and the Z1000.

Mick,

Why not wind the suspension down as far as it can go, get some really, really low profile tyres, get the seat modified and get some high heeled boots?

Surely that'd be enough?

Peace of mind? Have Kawasaki's suddenly got a bad reputation after years of being considered bullet-proof? :?

Still, as Boris said in a recent column in AMCN, all motorbike writers opinions are subjective anyway, despite their attempts to be objective. These guys obviously love Honda's

And just to add to the contradictory view of the writers, is a quote underneath the heading of the article about the Z750 which says: "This is better than the Z1000, let alone a 600!"

He obviously wasnt talking about peace of mind sleepy4.gif

Well, one of those might work. The suspension might be able to be wound in.
* Really really low profile tyres...hmm.
* The seat doesn't seem to have a lot to spare.
* High-heeled boots? Maaaaaaaaaaaate, don't think so.
