Price crash

Sun Aug 07, 2005 11:57 am

It seems Kwak are having a sale at the moment.

Most dealers (of the three I've been in) all have
the 636 at $15300 + on roads
The 10R at $16990 + on roads
and the 12R for 14990 + On roads

Then I went into Peter Stevens and they were doing a 10R ride away for $17,000 no more to pay! Pass me the balaclava and sawn off shot gun, I need to make an urgent withdrawal from the local bank

Just one thing of concern is the people seem to think Peter Stevens is a kawasaki Dealer their NOT
they seem to sell imported bikes from what i'm told

Just looked up the Kawasaki website
their dealers are
BRIGHTON KAWASAKI
COSWAY MOTORCYCLES P/L
FLOYD PARKES KAWASAKI
MORNINGTON MOTORCYCLES & PWC
RACE REPLICA SERVICE CENTRE

so i dont know how Peter Stevens do it
Not even K&J Thomas is any more
Being from the north of Melbourne not having a dealer is a pain but i work over the other side of the Yarra so it doesnt matter

Peter Stevens was a kwakka dealer until recently. What they have is left over stock.

thought peter stevens lost it well over 12 months ago

Tell me about it, my closest dealer is Bendigo...pity I work in Melbourne.

I think you might find all the Kawasaki bikes at Peter Stevens are left-overs from when they USED to be a Kawasaki dealer, and in the case of the ZZR600 and Z1000 in their Elizabeth St store, old unsold stock from years gone by.

Nice range of Suzukis in there now though...

Peter Stevens had their Kawasaki dealership revoked by Kwaka OZ
on Dec 1 2004 and part of that decision was to return (or sell) all bikes
and parts by Dec 31. After that Kwaka Oz will not honour any obligations for
warranty on bikes or parts from PS (two other dealers told me that)
so be careful.... I guess if they do sell any Kwaka bits after that date, they would have to be 'grey' imports

cheers

That's interesting, the city store has quite a few new kwakka's for sale. mostly 10's. Judging by the prices they are trying to get rid of them, but they're not insanely cheap.

i was in there yesterday and only remember seeing 2 10R's and they looked 2nd hand
but then i was only getting a visor so wasnt really looking

I know PS isn't Kwak dealer, just said they had 'em. They have 2 10R's, and green ex demo (didn't see the price, but it has the race kit) and a titanium with standard can (didn't ask if race kit was avail) for 17,000 ride away. I think Cosway or even Mornington would do some kinda deal anyway.

I think if anyone paid 15.3k + orc for a new 636 needs needs to come to brissy I think most savy buyers are getting theirs for mid 13's ride away.

Changing brands Mike ? Time to join the Big K owners mate.

That's the plan, just not sure what way to go about it and when. I might keep the CBR to commute and have a Kwak to play on, it's all down to cash flow (or lack of)

I know BKwaka are doing deals on 12Rs..just ask Greg(Recycled)
