where have all the people gone

looking through the posts lately and the dates on replies are getting old where have all the people gone from here things on this site are getting quiet not so long ago you could post and almost get comments before you hit the enter button

Well I recon its been 3 years since there was a Victorian ride, probably longer.

Here's my opportunity.........

Facebook .......it destroys all meaningful interaction and replaces it with meaningless drivel about the latest thing we're eating or place we are or what we're cooking or what our uncles, cousins, best friends new baby looks like ie all the stuff noone would talk about if they spoke to you face to face because you'd walk away or drop dead from boredom.

My rant is done... but it was good to get it out.......again

sad but true. So many long-term members have just bailed from this forum - as well as lots of others, its not just this place - and Facebook rules the wastelands........

Any ride for me is a last minute decision and hence I dont post up anywhere. I literally wait until school dropoff before committing as inevitably one of the three young one's gets sick or work calls etc.

Still watching ksrc though and looking forward to the cold snap ending!

Its winter so everyone is not riding as much, so things are quiet.. The forum is still going well it seems.. As soon as summer hits & people start riding & going to race meeting & ride days again, things will pick up..

Facebook suks....end of story!!

yes..it is pretty quite here, i get on most days, and the usual's are around, but certainly very quite compared to a few years ago. I did have a dry spell there for a bit, while i was bikeless, only because i didnt want to read how much fun you guys were having and i couldnt do the same.
Maybe a worldwide ban on spacebook and shitter should be inforced.

I try and post here when I can.
I have Facebook and I find it useful. Especially when you have friends and family overseas and can quickly talk to them in the one place. I also find it handy to get updates from things I'm interested in also. Ie bike page updates ect. It's just a shame so many people post useless shit.

I still log on here at least once a day (hoping to see nakedness in "same same game" ) to go through all the new posts.

Facebook is no different to a Forum, it's just bigger, faster, easier to post and upload pic's...
Sadly, that's the way of the fast pace world of today and the social media circus fad we are in.
I reckon Mobile Phone technology is to blame not FB........
