Yeah arista have had their first insurance rate hike in 3 years (apparently) so all policies have gone up atleast 33%.

Yep, I rang Arista last week to enquire about their insurance hike.

The lady calmly informs me that ALL sportsbike premiums have risen approx. 40%. What a joke .....

The only way out now is to turn 40 years old, where premiums usually drop by half....... I told them I "feel" 40 years old but they wouldn't have a bar of that.

Orlando.

Don't Shannon's have limits on the number of km's per year or something?
That's why I've never called them.

Just spoke to Shannons...

They only insure w/end use vehicles - so if you use it as transport everyday, then they don't wanna know ya.

They are cheaper than the others tho.

Got my new policy from Arista today.
Last year = $814
This year = $955

So, I rang Shannon's.
$598 and I can pay monthly.

Bye bye Arista.

Just be aware of the "recreational use" clause...

Shannons are a great company for motoring enthusiasts - and if their car policy is anything to go by then their bike policy will have some of the best benefits out there, including a right to take first option on the salvage which is handy for those of us who want the written off bike as a track toy or parts donor.

As long as your usage fits in with their requirements (very low k's and not your daily transport) then they are certainly a top option.

Unfortunately my best option is Suncorp.

WHAT

Man I pay $1000  for my zx6R '06 (suncorp)

...me thinks I will call shannons
