flush out your cooling system and refil it. Take it for a few rides, get it HOT   and see what happens.

Bars Leaks in the radiator... then sell it... :-)

Could be a head gasket but it may also be a seal in the water pump...
Does the engine have a more noticable ticking noise from the head..??

Flush it and see how it goes....

Tanya i see you have a 06 Z1000 on order
whens that coming and are you trading the 6

ok i would wash out the bottle and clean it
then check and see if theres anything under the oil filler cap
if not i'd just keep and eye on it

oil filler cap is clean
bike has been ticking a lot lately (but was doing that before i noticed the coolant)
but there may/may not have been bubbles in oil, i ran it and looked at the oil filler window, but it was darkish and hard to hold the bike upright and see at the same time

lucas i'm not trading it, i'm keeping both bikes, and since i have a trip planned in feb on it, i'm a teensy bit worried

i'll just take it to whales tomorrow and grovel for them to look at it as work are way too busy fixing all the silly yamaha's. If they can flush it, we'll take it from there
It hasn't overheated either

Ask them to do a pressure test on cooling system, hopefully its just a seal on the water pump.

The poll is confusing?

Can you get some oil out the motor? Does it look milky?

How about running the engine (from cold) with the rad cap off? Bubbles?

Tan,

I think if you straight swap it for a well used green zx7r that I've seen around then you'll be fine ...

Just empty all the coolant out, that will sort it.

There is a chik on here somewhere that works in a Motorbike shop, you could always ask her...

But serisouly, these things aren't always as bad as they look, so do the flush and see what happens. If it turns out to be a head gasket it all depends on how much money you have versus how dirty you want to get.

Well think this way, the coolant system always runs at a higher pressure than the oil system, so i cannot think of any reason why oil would have gotten into the coolant. Flush it & see, and when you get a coolant flush, get the oil dumped to see if theres any crap in there too.
