Warning for ACT riders

Postby MickLC » Wed Dec 21, 2005 8:14 am

I never thought I'd see the day  ....actual police on the road using radar! :? :? :?

They had a van setup with the back open and a bike in front to go chasing people. It was on one of the bits I usually blast up on the way to work so I was lucky I spotted it first

Keep your eyes open over the next 3 weeks - there is going to be a rather large *blitz* due to all the m/c-related deaths this year.. , I don't suppose it will be any different anywhere else.........

Blitz

Postby briffa » Wed Dec 21, 2005 2:43 pm

I noticed a marked van on northbourne the other day which pulled up a harley near epic.
There was a bike there as well.
Just what your speeds on the monaro as well.

Hey Gosling or Mick C
Do either of you own an orange zx10 and rode into civic tuesday morning heading east from Northbourne on London CCT.
I was on my ZZR going west...
Cheers

Keep your eyes open to look out for a green 01 ZX9 and a green ZX6 around the area on the 29th and 30th .

Both riders are considered harmless .

Use of unnessecary force has been approved .

yep they got a tip off that we're on the way, so they're getting some practice in usage of radar guns. I hear they have never seen 'em before now.

Thats what the plods are setting up for ... I tipped em off that Lro was inbound & all the pollies are worried about thier wives & daughters.

Blues have just started blitzing up here as well ... god its painful n boring doing the recommended speed limit. Not that i "ghostrider" or anything but i do tend to gently push through traffic. Bloody hard not to do it, but i guess it's only a month.

Cheers Brett
