The donor, after a while it becomes easy to part it out for the conversion. It is plain to see the old slowly becoming very old as this progresses.

Impatience must be a part of getting old i guess :P However.....I do appreciate your encouragement mate

A mate did a fantastic job welding the frame, once it is all cleaned up it should look like factory. 8)

Finally got the cometic head gasket so the new head is now torqued down.

New clutch basket and fibres are here, springs and steels all within spec.
Waiting on clutch basket holding tool so i can torque that down properly and do a quick soda blast to tidy the up the appearance of the barrel before fitting it into the frame.

next... Align the exhaust for welding hanger brackets, weld coil bracket, make an adapter plate to mount a CR250 airboot to the CRF airbox, modify radiator outlets then re-assemble the bike.

Sloppy welds. Hope you didn't pay the rogue who did them too much!

Update:

Looks like my easter deadline may not be met, or did I say 1st week in April?
I am waiting on parts delivery again, particularly a CR250 air boot wich matches up perfectly with an adapter plate to the airbox/carb.

once the welding is done its pretty much putting it back together.

I need to heat n mold a tank to clear the spark plug and rad hoses, I trashed the first one but I did learn alot.

Been busy sourcing some bang for your buck performance for this engine, i just dont think it has enough mojo. :(

I found this, could do the job.
