2012 klr purchase

I looked through the klr 651 manual and in the performance section, it showed a (ve model), any how the aussie model producers 15kwts and the "VE" model produces 32kwts and weights 2kg more.
Spoke to the dealer, and they looked at me really really weird. Can any one explain!
Just ending love my bike done heaps to it and will be showing off shortly.
