But it was a great weekend 
Not the usual way to spend a weekend in the Hunter Valley.
On Friday my son picked up his new 2012 KX450F
and organised a few of his mates to come up to the new block for the weekend.Saturday the just mucked around the block while my son ran his bike in, having drags up and down the rows
, a fair bit of "flat track" activity, making a track around the blocks and the dam 
wheelie and stoppie comps etc.Then on Sunday a few of them headed off into the Nat Park for the more serious stuff
The new 450 was unbelievable
talk about point and shoot! I'm an oldie and my opinion of the new 4S 450MX v the older 2S 490 or 500 was, that for balls out hang on shit, the new stuff couldn't get near them.But I gotta say after spending some time on them, there were 3 KX450's, I would be nearly convinced to buy one. Fix the detonation problem and I would be there.
There were 3 KX 450's (2012, 2011 and 2009), a YZ 250 (2010), a RM 250(2010), My XR600R (1986) and a Postie 90.
