Dirt Bike Accident -Trail Tips

Dirt Bike Accident -Trail Tips

Postby Possum » Tue Jul 03, 2012 5:13 pm

A couple of dirty mates had a head on last weekend@full noise.. one broke her collar bone, the other very lucky not to have a shattered leg.
I wasnt there so im not going to speculate who was at fault, but it got me thinking.

TRAIL TIPS that could help those new to the dirty world
Plan your ride - make sure everyone is clear where your going, and what to do if things go wrong
Stay together - wait at points/junctions
Keep in mind public holidays and weekends there is a higher chance of others sharing trails incl 4x4 and horses
If you see others take the opportunity to have a quick chat about how many are in their crew, where they are headed, how long they will be in the area
Leave the area how you found it - take your rubbish with you.

What else?
It all comes down to how you ride it.....

Never dubble back with any speed if someone go's missing. Do it slow and off to the side of the trail if you can. They may just have needed a "stop" and are now heading at you full noise to catch up.
Get a camel pack or somthing like that. You will need a drink along the way.

Most of all. If one of your ride buddys falls in mud or water its your right to give it a gass full and spray them with said mud/water.
I love my new ZX10. It scares the shit out of me.
