I SURVIVED THE TRANSMOTO 12HR

Hey guys.
Just thought I'd post an update on the transmoto 12hr.
The event was finally run last weekend, I didnt think it was going to be on after driving down to Batemans Bay NSW and being met with pissing down rain.We decided to push on to the event about an hour into the hill country, arriving at a large gully where the event was held, no rain thank god.
We set up camp and prepared for riding on the Sunday.
Up at 5am, gear on and went to watch our first rider do a parade 1/4 lap to check the transponder, where we saw another rider bail on the parade lap and get taken away on a strecher.
7am race started and finished at around 5pm, so not really 12hrs but day light only allowed for so much.
So 4 man team, we all crashed several times each but all survived with only minor strains and bruses.
I had a bit of an issue with the kx450f mainly the fact i was to blody slow through the bush causing the bike to overheat, so not wanting to risk any damage i opted for the xr250. bit of a downgrade but it saw me through the rest of the event.
The track was Nothing less than difficult, slippery rocks, tree roots and grass sections
there were many broken down bikes littered along the trails proving how tough the event was.
Loved every second even though it nearly killed me
There are videos up on youtube that other riders have put up if you want to see the event first hand, and i will add photos as soon as i can
Cheers jono

Ripper of a track, not too difficult but plenty of variety. :kuda:
