Tim, I've got a more fun way of practicing throttle control. Wind the throttle on hard in lower gears and when the front wheel lifts off the ground, adjust the throttle to keep it up there.

I've tried Russ, no matter how hard I tried I couldn't keep it open (or want to) while having to pull up hard in traffic or wash off a chunk of speed to enter a corner.

I like it! How about I just quote that for Appendix 1 which applies for litre bike owners only.
