They may get a few bookings at the South Circuit Rob, they would've had three rounds there this year if it was finished in time.

Good to hear Mick, nice n close to home!
So the update...... seat is from Hand Craft FB, it will need to be upholstered to look period & especially to gain more height as I will be running Billet Joker Rear sets from the exhaust mounts...... the perfect spot!
I have ordered a fiberglass long tank from the UK which should be 1/4 the weight of the steel original 8)
I will be changing from the contact Breaker points to a Dyna electronic ignition & Dyna coils, I also have some Barnett's clutch goodies coming from the states.
As can be seen from the Pic I will need to replace the front Calliper piston, the previous owner was a bit of a butcher  I think every bolt head is rounded off & all the Philips head screws required the use
of an impact driver to remove, they were all farked! Motors will be stripped in the next few weeks & all alloy parts will be going off to Campbell's Classic MC for hydra blasting (seriously the best method!) forget soda forget sand HB works
so well & with absolutely no changes to tolerances as its gentle. have a look at Col's site: http://www.campbellclassicmotorcycles.c ... asting.htm
Front forks are being re chromed & I have a new headstock on its way as the original was stuffed..... lots of parts ordered like full gasket kits & oil seal kits MC rebuild kit, nice set of pipes and so on... my head is spinning!
Have done heaps so far with the removal of brackets & all unwanted parts but I'm in a holding pattern with the frame till the tank & seat can be fitted up then I can continue.

Nice mate :kuda: - the 350/4's were a very underated bike back in the day. With a decent cam and a good 4/1 pipe......jet it up (or use 500/4 carbs and jet them up  ) - and that little jigger should fly !!!

Might end up having a lash in the 350 class as well next year on the baby triple.... ;)

One question though, do you work on the engine yourself? I have a CB500F that needs some work done... It won't happen any time this year I don't think but I wouldn't mind someone pointing me to a good mechanic. It seems there aren't many around that really know how to work on these bikes and I just happen to be mechanically challenged.

You could always go and talk to Steve Leembruggen. He runs a lot of old bikes in certain race events, and knows his way around old motors as well. I can't recall the name of his business but someone here will.....

8)

Steve sold Metro Spares a little while back but the Silverwater shop still exists with the new owner still operating under the same name. Steve's new business is called Old Gold Motorcycles and still operates from his monstrous shed out at Londonderry although he spends a lot of the time in Japan these days buying bikes, here's a link to his FB page. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Old-Gold ... ts&fref=ts

Where did you source the tank from Rob?

Kev there are a few places doing them in the UK & the US
http://www.discovolantemoto.co.uk/
http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/vin ... etanks.htm
or Alloy tanks for the unlimited budget, but they are quiet reasonable considering what they are:

Lots of choices :D

Seeing the Guage reminded me I should let people know, my cousin is an automotive gauge builder/repairer in Newcastle. Can't vouch for the company but she's really cool
