P5 rules interpretation Q's

I have just got myself a 250lc I intend to convert in to a P5 race bike.
As a few of you on here seem to be very knowledgeable on the subject I thought it would be a good place to ask some questions.
Regarding forks,
the rules state the following
Period forks:
a) Forks of a type manufactured in the
period up to a maximum diameter of
41mm,
b) Forks which replicate the type
manufactured in the period up to a
maximum diameter of 41mm.
Does this mean I can use a modern fork, as long as it is conventional, doesn't use cartridge style damping and has no external adjustments, or does it mean it has to be an actual model of fork,or exact replica, that was manufactured up to 1982?
Regarding wheels,
As they are considered a 'minor component' does this mean I can use any wheels, as long as they come within the diameter and width requirements of the class?
