The best part is only paying 5% interest and you can apply online Ive been told.

:D :D :D

Did he read all the fine print? Pretty sure with yamaha finance that its a very low interest rate for the first 12 months to suck you in, then they put it to something rediculous like 16+ %..(correct me if im wrong) I avoid bike/car finance finance, would prefer a bank loan any day of the week over vehicle finance ;) Once you've locked in your repayments with finance companies im pretty sure you cant change it to pay more and have to sit out the original term it was taken over, or pay a hefty early termination fee to get out of it all together.. By the time my mate pays his R6 out with yamaha finance the bike will of cost him close to $27k when he bought it for $17k :P

In my case I saved up the $11k and took out a personal loan for $6k(with loan insurance etc) over a 3 year term.. I did my research to make sure I wouldnt be penalised for paying it out early, and smashed it over in 11months by putting extra repayments on it.. :D Payed out a total of about $600 in interest i think ;)

There's also occasional humour, and pisstaking. All part of what makes this a relaxed and awesome place. I also think "get off your mum's boob" is valuable advice, and I for one might take it on.

Pisstakng and humour is fine but that was clearly not humour! he was just being a tosser! i dont mind humour but someone picking shit for the sake of picking shit just needs to grow up!

I got a $7k personal loan from a credit union for a new 2fiddy (although I would now advise someone to get a cheaper/second hand bike to begin on) at 9.54% with no penalty for early pay out (they also offer quite reaonable interest rates for savings accounts) ;)

You'll probably need a thicker skin

As for loans find the lowest interest rate its fairly simple. Forget vehicle finance try a personal loan. If your in a position to use equity out of a home loan or similar make sure you up your payments to cover the bike on top of the mortgage payment otherwise you end up well behind long term.

I always save up and buy my bikes. If a personal or bike loan is anything like a mortgage don't do it! Mortgages suck, speaking from experience.... :x
2 X ZRX1200R 4 X ER6N, GT550, 1988 ZX-10, 4 X GPZ250R, 4 X GPZ900R and GPZ750R :) Yeah I like Kawasakis.

Bought my ninja 250 outright.
Thankfully bikes are bit easier to manage with cash compared to cars
