Yep you don't need to redo the course, just the test (at least that's what used to happen and I don't imagne they've changed it). They should have explained this at the course though. Where did you go originally, Adamstown?

Anyway in the practice i couldn't do it within the line, I said to the instructor it can't be done. So he had a go on the bike the only way he made it was, on entry rear brake on clutch loaded up put the very edge of his right check on the left of the seat leaned the bike all the way over and after the half way point powered out of the corner just missing the edge of the line.

He pulls up and said "yep that's the worst bike to do a u-turn I have been on" so in the end i touched the ground once mid u turn as this only lost me 1 point but still allowed me to pass. My mate was on a motard and he could do the uturn on a 5 cent coin :)

When you go to instructor school they used to make you do it on a cruiser to get your instructor license. You reckon a ZZR250's tricky?

Seriously though the U turn is pretty generous these days at 6.0m (it used to be 5.5m) and on any 250 I've ridden it was pretty easy once you had all your tight circle practising done. If you were familiar with the bike it would've been a whole heap easier

I did mine on a ZZR250 on the old tight U turn. Same as the instructor did it, dragged the rear brake, slipped the clutch, got off the seat and cranked it over. The instructor said I did well so I guess a lot mustn't be able to do it, but it is doable, even by ham fisted lumps like me.

the update of the license,at the moment i am with out a license so haven't been out on the road. i failed the p's test and ran out of time to redo the p's so was forced to wait till my learners ran out to rebook.i did rebook and couldnt make it on the day of redoing learners. But now i have have booked back in for the 16th of this month (next week end). so should be back out on the road in 2 weeks time.

See you out there on the black,(sometimes grey, brown) stuff. In two weeks.

Sounds rather frustrating the system down there, makes me glad to be up here in qld! Don't seem to have as much of a stuff around learner's and P's system, if you even call it a P's system.
