My first off

Hi guys, just thought I'd say a little bit about my first off (it's also nice to have somewhere comfortable to blurt out a bit).

First of all thanks to Nelso and Leanne for comin by to have a look at the bike for me and run through what happened....much appreciated

Started heading through Mac Pass (Sat. about 1pm) and just under a k in takin a left hander had the bike at full lean (peg scraping) and was about to gas it out (by the looks of things must have already started on the throttle), back sliped out and I was on the deck, I slid for few metres and ended up just on my side of the centre line but my bike slid and 360'ed another few metres and pulled up just in the on coming lane...thankfully there was no on coming traffic ) It appears that this is the furthest I have leant and hit a waxy edge on the tyre (with a high possibility of a bit of chain grease spatter. I've been adivsed to get some prepsol, which I will of course).

Kevlar saved me this time but it's time to get some leathers, I walked away with out a scratch, the jeans got a few holes but didn't rupture the kevlar and my jacket got a bit of a scrape. Fortunately the bitumen didn't touch my helmet

As for my bike it's come away pretty good too, I was able to ride it away for starters looks like I may be able to get away with just replacing the left handlebar, a lamp, and a bit of bending and buffing and then left with a few minor cosmetics that ought to be hardly noticeable From a distance u can't even see it's been for a slide

Glad you still ok a bloke told me years ago that you will stop falling off once you get sick of paying for repairs that didnt stop me falling off but made me a bit more aware of what i was doing so i could prevent it more

my first off was getting T boned by a taxi in the city..... you always remember your first one

Thanks for that Nelso, I had a quick look yesterday on ebay and actually didn't find anything so u did well (or maybe I did poorly ), I was just about to grab those ones but luckily (cause of ur further links posted) I hadn't updated my bank account details with paypal and have to wait for the new details to be confirmed (I'm gen Y - impatient and in need of instant gratification always )

Hmmm, for some reason I don't seem to be able to PM ATM
when I press "submit" the indicator on the tab shows the next page is loading but there is no change on the screen given it a few minutes too. Hopefully u don't get the same PM 5 times but hopefully u do receive it as well, Ill try again tomorrow (nothing in outbox or drafts either)
