You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.

well I guess as shitty as being lams restricted is we can be thankful we don't have a 125cc restriction or a 33hp max

although it is funny that you can get restricted busas over there that comply with the 33hp limit... at what tickover + 500rpm? :D

would be nice if there was a progressive limit.. say 150kw/ton to begin with then 200kw/ton or whatever after a yr

I'd like to see stats on how many P platers under the new rules get in a bad situation cos they saw somethin coming n they couldn't power out of it... most lams bikes tend to not take off real quick :D

It took us a while but here's the consequences for being caught defying the below rules IN VICTORIA

***Get caught carrying a passenger on L's or having a full licence for less than 12 months costs $239 and 3 points

***Holding a learner permit for a motorcycle or having licence for less than 12 months and using a motorcycle not approved for learners (LAM) $239 and 3 points

It didn't used to be this bad. Not too long ago it was a fine only. (I think about $160)

And don't even think that if you go out on the sauce and end up getting locked up that the only penalty is staying the cells for a few hours. Drunk in public is now worth nearly a $500.

heh and when does "drunk in public" get used anymore?? I seem to recall consuming booze outside of a licensed premises was supposed to be a no no, but I guess that falls in the same category :)

I was on the road at 15 in the hills of roleystone WA. the state forrest was my bestfriend. I use to ride to mates joints because no cops out there. Im not trying to be a smart arse, I just think good road sence & experince is what makes a good rider, & with age comes knowing when to ride like a gentlemen & when to fang the guts out of it.

In our overgoverned occasionally fascist state... the legislators assume the lowest common denominator. They assume that any L-plater on a ZX9R has no riding experience. Don't expect to get recognition for previous riding experience  And yes, the insurance is non-existent.

Yeah I picked up my 636cc about 2 weeks early before I got my blacks and had to sign a waiver saying that I understood it wasn't legal for me to ride this and if anything happened I was at fault yada, yada, yada.
This is my signature and it can say whatever I want.
