Not surprised it won't wheelie easily @ 191 kg
I've spent over 40 years of my life riding bikes .... the rest of it, I wasted ..
If it's got wheels or tits, it's gonna give you trouble !

lol Yeah I feel exactly like you I'll leave the wheelstands for my pushie it's much cheaper to repair the pushie when i flip it than it is to repair a road bike and I just know i'm gunna flip it at some point shit I've been doing wheelstands for 35 years on my pushie and I still flip it occasionally lol god knows how long it would be before i flipped the roadie if I tried although I do little power wheelies on the roadie coming off turns but not hoisted high like a good one lol

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

My old GPX used to readily do mono's with a pillion on the back. Best effort was a mono from a standing start and on the back wheel until well after we had crossed the intersection!  Totally unintended i might add, though the pillion didn't even realise that the front had been hoisted.

robracer wrote:The only mono restrictor is the tool behind the handlebars, any bike can mono, even postie bikes & scooters.
Go to a remote location where there is no one around & practice getting the bike up.... as in balance point.
If you can master that without destroying your new bike in the process then you are doing allright.
Oh & yes they make it look easy on youtube & in extreme videos but you have to practice a shit load to mono properly
& not look like a fool or possibly in your case a tool.
Here is a hint get an old dunger & wreck that in the process & not your new bike ;)
Oh & WTF do you want to Mono anyway? its a great way to get your bike impounded & your licence cancelled, for what?
so you look cool or to impress your future girlfriend? what a waste of time

Hahaha. Sorry mate. Read the first bloke and replied. Funniest thread i've read i think.

I have a 250 ninja probly similar to urs and i've had no problems "popping a mono" bloddy ozy slang I found that stiffening the suspension and putting a different sproket helps and also sitting as far back as u can but hey nly a novice to road bikes my self

This thread brings back memories of my first bike  Fonzie style DT125  where I would stand up on the pegs and bounce down on the seat + clutch + throttle to get the front wheel up  LOL
