How much did you pay for your 250 Ninja?

I know a couple of young fellows who are talking about getting their L's and the bike they want to get is a new ZX2. Both have asked what sort of price they can expect to pay and I had no idea but knew there were a few of you newbies that have recently bought one and was curious as to what price you got them for and from where. So post up the deal you got and lets see what sort of prices everyone is paying for a baby Ninja.

Flywheel's is advertising them for $8,500 ride away with helmet,gloves and jacket......Sound's like a pretty good deal and I'm sure you could squeeze a bit more out of them

i payed $7700 for mine with a yoshi pipe. then rego and insurance on top of that. the bike was $7000 as being 09 model it went up $500 from the 08. and now they've gone up another $500 i believe??

Yeah $8,500 with helmet gloves and jacket is pretty dam good, I would make sure that the jacket and helmet are top of the line though.

The problem with the little ninjas is the dealers can't get enough of them, the demand is huge so getting a great deal is a little hard. I'm sure if you spoke to Southern Highlands Motorcycles in Mittagong they'd do you a good deal. We bought a gpx250 and zx6 through them and got heaps better deals than the sydney guys would do.

was in kelens in penrith today dropping the zx7r engine off and there was 4-5 250r's. a couple of blue and black ones they were.

and they also have a zx14 going for 18grand ride away.

nah its more the fact that last year they couldnt get enough of them and now they have a few in the shop.

Aitken's has a lot of floor stock in black and blue.....Probably 15+ ....They are ticketed at $7,200 ride away.....Minus the 10% KSRC discount I'm guessing

Haggle them for a few dollars more off before mentioning the discount

Nitpick/Clarification needed: zx2/zx2r is the bastardised name given to the zxr250 from the 80's & 90's. I guess 250r and possibly zx2 could apply to the new model ninja 250r (but seriously what is its actual model name? zx2? if so, oops).
