on another note... when i got my bike, there was on blue left in store and everyone else was out, waiting for new shipments which was due very late 2008. Even though i haggled alot, i wouldnt have gotten very far knowing that if i didn't buy it today, some person who is willing to pay it straight up would be walking in tomorrow... which they did! i think i ended up getting $400 off, didnt mention KSRC, which was bloody good. i did wait about 4-6 weeks for i though. Memory is all abit vague

Your calling the guy coming up beind you, whilst your doing 140km/h a speed demon? bahaha nice one buddy

If you can read what I said...

I was in the middle of overtaking someone. Probably doing around 115-120. I noticed someone flying up behind me while I was halfway through overtaking. So I gave it a bit which saw me get up to 140 to get back in to the left lane before dude was right on my ass.

Yeh nice one, champ !

I can read fine... why were you doing that speed to begin with? if your a learner/p plater/"mature" rider -without experience regardless especially, which i'm assuming you are. Your limit is 80, anything other that is already exceeding the speed limit, which is there for your safety 90% of the time, then you blow it by a minimum of 40kms... no wonder they bring in these green plates now, not to mention it going to take 10 years in the future because inexperienced riders go beyond their knowledge and limit and kill themselves.

i'm a red p plater, and i know my limit, even though i would feel comftable with doing that speed, there's noway i'm doing that regardless how much experience i do have.

a bit silly IMO

Thanks for your concern.

And you're right, I'm only on my learners.

I just wasn't doing 80km/h when I had about a 200km trip home, would've taken way too long.

I'm quite confident doing those speeds on a nice straight motorway, but I'm still diligent and keep my buffer zones. Where I need to polish up my riding is slow speed shit.

The law is the law though.

Aitken were terrific! We really wanted to buy Mr's bike from there (this is his account btw) but Aitken's first shipment of the 2010 Special Edition Green were all sold before they even got it into the store. Next shipment is due mid December and this is unconfirmed. They were so honest and even encouraged me to get it for the $7700 price tag as they said that's an excellent price for the SE.

We ended up getting it from On Two Wheels @ Campbelltown for $7700 on road. Aitkens are selling their Black and Blue for $7k on road, unsure what model it is, 2009 or 2010, this is the price they gave without negotiations or discounts. We will be taking Mr's bike there for servicing and so forth as we preferred their service and they're closer to us.

I paid $7450 for my 2010 series Ninja 250, with a Megacycle sports muffler, 12 months rego, a full tank & delivery home. I also got about $1000's worth of riding gear for $850. From Peter Stevens.

clay wrote:An 07 gs500f, only got it because it was a good deal ($5k, unregistered, 5K on the clock, one little scratch from a standstill drop) and I thought a 500 would go better than a 250, well I got that wrong.

But I want to get rid of it and get a full sports bike, something quicker. The 250r seems to fit that bill.

First time I've seen this thread.... Ninja250's not faster than a GS500! :P hat50.gif

Lol the GS500 is faster than the Ninja, but not by heaps, definately beats it off the line though.
