Noobs wanted for the Stay Upright Course!!

Postby kevindinho » Sun May 24, 2009 10:08 pm

Thought ill start a new thread to get more exposure.

Well I'm going to book in to do the stay upright Intermediate or advance course dunno which one yet but its gonna be after the 20th of June (hoping to book A.S.A.P.) Hopefully some of you fellow noobs will come and join me :D

I'm sure some members have already done the course so please advise which one is more suitable *looks @ FireyRob*, its does say suitable for all levels on the advance course pamphlet so I'm thinking might as well get our moneys worth as there seems to teach us more stuff.

Cheers
Kev

For better or worse I'm gonna do a track day first Kev, so my money will go to leathers and track day before a course. :kuda:

From memory I think the intermediate course was targeted at those on their P's, the advanced course for those already with a bit of riding experience up their sleeves.
So I think Intermediate will be the go for you guys.

I only ever did the advanced, so can't really comment on how the intermediate might go - but the advanced was worth it.

I think based on your limited riding background then the intermediate course is probably the best place to start! I have 3 months road riding experience on a 250 and no road riding at all in the last 12 months. So like you Im a total road newbie! I booked the advanced based purely on the recommendation from members from this site after having ridden in heaps of trackdays with them and finally getting my full road licence in 16 days time (but who's counting :D ). So its more of a road refresher and more low speed training for me. Can never get enough training and will post up how I found the course afterwards!

Ok peoples can i get a idea of how many of you would like to do the beginner/ intermediate Stay Up right courses?? I'm gonna do both, after i get the number of people interested I'll call the stay upright people and ask if they can give us some kinda discount. Then we can hopefully organize a time that would suite everyone.

Cheers

i was looking at the California super bike school at eastern creek... http://www.superbikeschool.com.au/ i wanna do some course but gotta look at dollars seeing as i gotta pay to fix my baby after dropping her the other weekend :( i know that one is expensive like $450ish i think... but i have heard good things about both. After July would be good give my wrist time to get better :( i may also have 2 other mates that would be keen as well so def keep me in the loop

Hi Kev - I did the intermediate last week. It was great. I've only been riding a year and felt that it gave that extra bit of learning and tuition. The instructors were great, easy to understand, not pushy or bossy. They did say to us it's best to try to do the courses in order (intermediate then advanced) but that could be so they get more money out of you !!! Nah just jokes. They also said all their courses cater for L's and P's riders. But I had a great time - we had a full class, 15 of us, and all of us were grinning and enjoying ourselves all day. I'd recomend them to any one.
