GPX250R and my newbieness!

Welcome to Quirks post number 2! I'm racking them up! hahaha

Ok so after doing a big of research, I think I've decided that the GPX250 would be a good first bike for me. As hot as the ninja looks, I think I'd cry if I dropped it (which is bound to happen!!) and being a first bike I think second hand is the safest, and cheaper, of the options. I also read that the ZZR can be a pain in the arse and quite expensive to fix if you ding her up.

So being the biking retard that I am (yeah I'm not the most politically correct of people...no offence!), I'd love to get feedback/advice off anyone who is willing to give me some.

I did come across as GPX that I would like to have a squizz at. Here are the details:

2007 GPX250
10, 500km
4 months rego left
$5, 950

From the pics on teh site it looks to be in fairly good nick.

I obviously have no idea if something like that would be a good buy, and someone on here may even know the person selling the bike. Who knows!

So yeah any help would be great

Welcome to KSRC !!

The GPX250 is a good bike to learn on, that's what I had. It's a nice solid bike and pretty comfortable.

I had no problems doing my test on it, U-turns were easy :)

They are a great bike, but that's big money for one of those.

Yeah I'm starting to get that impression. Think I might go have a look at it and see what I can do price wise but it may just end up being a case of having a look at the bike and seeing in the flesh, so to speak, the type of bike I'm after. I have a bad habit of finding something I like and just going 'yup I'll have that!' . I hate shopping in every way shape and form. I go to the shop, get what I want and get the hell outta there....shopping for wheels is no different unfortunately

So much for the women love shopping theory
