my zzr 250 wont keep up with the 6's and 10's

Postby MrWasabi » Mon Jul 07, 2008 5:09 pm

Hi Owen,
Could you please tell me how i make my zzr 250 go faster so that when i go on laps with the big boy and girls i dont get left behind. I know that while they are waiting they are laughing at me. So if i can go faster this will give them less time to laugh at me.

also where can i get my fairings chromed? i hear that the smoothness of the chrome makes the bike more aerodynamic, hence making me go faster!

Ya goose, that is is adding plastics adds two cylinders and makes the bike look a comparative peice of arse, then sure :) :P.

seriously though, practice practice practice, fast entry, dont overcook it, fast exit is your best bet.

And chromed plastic.... fart.gif crybaby2.gif, this isn't a v-star or a harley forum ya know! XXeyeslam.gif

its technically not a ZX2R anymore... although my little profile under my avatar says i ride one... its actually a ninja 250R... or EX250F or something... it is based on the old GPX model, which yes is similar to a ZZR.

the motor has been slightly reworked, the frame is new, altho not ground breakingly technical, and yes the bodywork is all new... which given the GPX, was thoroughly needed.

Its thought that the ninja 250R was a response to honda's CBR125R... ie a stylish looking but cheap learner bike, altho the kwaka does have double the horsepower...

it appears now honda wants to go one up again and has brought the cb400 over here, to again cater to the market looking for a stylish learner model.. and of course having 400cc it has more power again than the baby ninja...
