G'day gents, I am new to this forum.
I'm from Sydney and my current bike is an E series ZX9R recently purchased.
I owned a B1 model way back in '95 and owned that one for 12 years before selling it. I wish I kept it.
Anyways, I don't know too much about the newer bike as I haven't spent that much time on it or around it.
I have ordered a factory workshop manual for that trusty information too.
Hope to touch base with anyone who can help with issues, upgrades when the situation arises.
Cheers
Tony

Thanks mate.
I have a soft spot for the 9. Having put up with the poor handling of the B1 model, I really enjoyed it otherwise. Strong, fast and reliable.
I replaced the stock exhaust for a full Akrapovic system circa 03 and it was just magnificent. Shed a few kilos too !!
Stainless headers and Titanium can.
I'm currently canvassing an akrapovic system/slip on for my E1 bike. Not having much luck though.
Is it possible some dealers in Australia may have some new old stock or would Akrapovic make one to order ??

Welcome aboard,

There are plenty of ZX9R acro's around see them advertised on eBay or gumtree from time to time second hand in top condition.

Where did you order the factory manual from and how much was it?

Cheers Paul

I have one coming from Japan through Kelens Kawasaki in Penrith, Sydney.
It's around $65
Kawasaki Australia are out of stock apparently. So it has to come from Head Office.
Maybe go through your local Kawasaki dealer and just order one as I did.
Good luck.

Great news Gents. Picked up my brand new Factory service manual today.
I was told that even if Japan runs out of stock they will do a re print to order, so never fear guys, you can always get a manual regardless. Happy to pay a little extra and have something nice and tangible. Cd versions are also good but I prefer the book.

So Mine is actually an E2 according to the chassis info on the back cover.
Thought it was an E1.
