New from Albury!

Postby Hixi14 » Tue Jun 10, 2014 12:06 pm

Hey guys, quick introduction. Names Mick from Albury Nsw.
Been riding road bikes since I was 17. Had a 1989 Gpx250, 2005 Yamaha R1 and ended up with my latest purchase of a 2011 Zx10r track bike. I've done 4 days down at Broadford (Blue group PB 1:09) and looking to keep improving on the track.
Any tips and advice would be appreciated.
Cheers :D

It's awesome, very easy to get good lap times on.
Bike came with Armour bodies fairings, m4 street slayer exhaust with cat eliminator, 02 fuel optimiser, coz radiator guard, r&g engine covers, KN air filter, braided front lines with abs disconnected, removed air intake valve and secondary air injection(KLEEN?), suspension set up for 77kgs (I'm 80 at the moment so still insure whether to touch it or not) all done by Macca.
Only mods I've done to it is painted the fairings black and Vortex Rearsets (big mistake getting these with the Abs model as the the brake line from the master cylinder to the junction box has absolutely no slack to allow the rearsets to move) any of you guys had this problem? I would get the abs removed on the rear but nobody sells just rear braided abs replacement lines.
As for comparison to my r1 it has a little bit more power but the suspension and brakes are worlds apart.

Yeah done a couple of things to it. It's only used on the road though. Got an r6 for the track. Here's a pic of the 10.

Very nice. Slip on would've cost a pretty penny.
