Another new Sydney member!

G'day everyone!

My name is Dave and I've just purchased my first bike (with 2 wheels, anyway - previously owned a few quads), a 2013 Ninja 650L. Taking delivery in a week or two (a little thing called a license is needed, apparently :? ) and can't wait to get on it!

I'm a bit of an impulsive bloke and recently realised I have become bored of the same old OPH, Putty Rd, Mac Pass runs in my Evo. I have always wondered if they'd be more enjoyable not sitting inside an air conditioned cabin, so.. here I am!

Looking to learn, socialise and get out there on the roads with like-minded and more experienced riders. Hope to see a few of you out there!

My advice for the test:

"When in a driver's blind spot you should:
a) Safely speed up or slow down to move out of the blind spot
b) Punch the passenger side window in, to politely let him know you are there
c) Twist open the throttle and tear past, screaming obscenities at the motorist
d) All of the above"

ALWAYS CHOOSE ALL OF THE ABOVE!! read2.gif

I get to start riding my Ninja 650 in a few weeks. toothy10.gif When your riding's up to it let me know if you want to go for a ride, ya know, just us cool Ninja 650 folk 8)

All the best mate.

One point, it's not a test, it's a training course.

Whatever you learn remember for your time on the road.

As long as you can keep the bike upright and stop at the end of 2 days you'll be on the road and on your own :)

Day one down. Piece of piss!

Their bikes are a bit awkward for me (I'm 6'3") but I got used to them after a few hours. :kuda:

Hi Dave
Welcome to the world of bikes!
My advice to you for early on...
iIf you think a car might do it, even if not possible.... THEY WILL!!!!
Stay upright buddy!
