did a tour of the back roads of the yarra valley with a guy who was a telstra linesman up there. took 2 hours to get from lilydale to warburton. then a fast run to whittlesea to get the kinks out.
thinking of a run up to highlands as i've never been there but need directions from strika.

The Melbourne Sportsbike Riders are doing a run up there on April 17, this is off their web site:
"Sunday 17th April
Highlands
10 am Whittlesea (meetCaltex servo)
Route:
Leg 1: From Whittlesea we'll head up to Kinglake West, Flowerdale, Strath Creek, Broadford, Glenaroua and on to Pyalong and Lancefield for morning tea at the 115 km mark.
Leg 2: After the break we'll head north up the Burke and Wills Track 23 km before turning right and heading across to Emu Flat and the back way to Pyalong. Great volcanic scenery with large bolders strewn around the paddocks. Then on to Seymour for lunch after after 84 km to sample the burgers at the famous wayside stop.
Leg 3: After lunch and fuel the route follows the twisty road up to Highlands, then back down to Yea and around to Flowerdale and Kinglake West to finish after another great 98 km. 297 km for the day."

I haven't been to Highlands before, but this may help. Be careful of Strika's directions when he's fully dosed, you could end up anywhere. laughing7.gif
