Mid next week should see me back on a bike after a few years absence.

looking forward to becoming part of the forum and I'll try not to ask too many "dumb ass" qustions..although in all probablity there will be a few as my excitment level is pretty dam high as you might expect! :kuda:

Thanks chaps..new bike is now in my possession ..I got to take it for a 5 minute spin just before dark and impending rain this evening. Its been a few years since I last rode so I intend to show this machine respect..take it slow and steady.. and get my skill level up to par.. while enjoying my new addition.

I got the new zed from "Race Replica" in Brooklyn. The staff were fantastic.. gave me a really great deal on the bike and were extremely good to deal with..highly recommended.

Pics will be forthcoming. :P

Thanks..

Yes Ronnie and Brad from RR were super helpful to deal with.

I shopped around..so I know I got the best deal possible on a new zed.

Brad even dropped the bike off for me (and filled the tank) .not a standard service.

They may be incorporating a bike pick up and drop off service at some stage to help customers get their bikes serviced without having make other arrangements..a great idea I think. ;)

Not sure if they have new ownership, but there certainly isn;t any of the "Previous" staff working there anymore. So, potentially it may be worth a revisit by someone game enough!! I never had an issue with them, but, I knew Dave the grumpy old mechanic really well. He used to let me use his workshop to do stuff if he was busy and just charged me for the parts. I used to often change my own tyres there. But, the bike sales area needed a new face. The guy who was there, if he is still there, I wouldn't bother giving another opportunity to, however, by the sounds of the post, Aa has received excellent service and a great deal too. So maybe that area has been rectified and the previous incumbent is gone.

Have to get one of the West Side Vic KSRC crew to go in for a compression test......................

I think it has only been a few months since RR has been under new management. smileinbox.gif

I took my last bike to RR back in about 2005 and had no complaints.. this time around I was very impressed with everyone I delt with. :supz:
Also the very pretty young lady in the accessories area was impressive with her knowledge regarding the differing helmet compounds and construction's.
