Just a note to introduce myself, I'm a bloke from country South Australia, and it seems a slow learner.
Having built 'project' BSA's for a while, all fours, I under the expert guidence of my 12 year old daughter, built a 51 bantam which is two stroke, and introduced me to the concept of 'power band'. (quite impressive)
I then took an interest in these little motors and last week, was lent a Kwaka KR-1s - which blew my mind.
My mate has lost interest in the beastie, so its up to me to return it to road worthy condition as the electrics seem to be playing up, and as an old oil leaker kind of guy, are way beyond me.
Big issues, (I think),
indicators are intermittently operative, and seem to be ok til the bike 'warms up' or revs over 5k. Any ideas? Also doesn't hold revs, but surges, and can drop out all together - very annoying at speed. (I have purchased a new battery - no improvement)
Secondly, the farings are in poor nick, what options are out there? I can repair if they're just fibreglass, but any advice would be good.
Thirdly, the left hand pot seems to be running a bit lean, but I reakon I'll hand the whole beasty to a 2 stroke guru in Adelaide for the tuning bizzo, as I know bugga all.
All ideas and recommendations will be gratefull recieved.

Cheers lads, thanks. Who is the best tuner type bloke/business in Adelaide? Thought I'd have the old girl checked out by a professional before I start tinkering.
Took her for a quick squirt to Mannum today, only 41 up here so the return trip of 60k's was just a fun in the sun, and softie run. She's a bit 'lumpy' at low speeds, even when the revs are kept up at 6k, so I suspect an expert eye to 'zero everything to normal may be in order. At 140, she purrs.
