Paddock Stand Bobbins Advice.

Postby ZX9R Man » Thu Mar 05, 2015 4:25 pm

I'm currently looking to purchase a new paddock stand for the rear (and one for the front) and was wondering what size/type of bobbins you guys are using.
I've never used these in the past, just 2 high tensile bolts into the swing arm did the trick, however I'd like to use these trick looking things but unsure on quality/size etc..
What do you guys recommend ?

Kaneg.
They're a sponsor on the site I think.
Their stuff is great quality and Peter is a good guy too.
You can usually get a deal on a set of stands with cotton reels.

all much of a muchness mate - whatever bobbins fit your swingarm bolt size will work with just about any race-stand out there.....

Oh ok. I did notice some being 8mm, 10mm etc. I thought this was the bobbin size itself. So it's the actual thread size to suit your particular swing arm.
What thread size would mine be then ?
Thanks for your replies.

you need to measure it - or just get an 8mm bolt and see if that fits - if not it is probably 10mm. Thread pitch also needs to be checked but it will probably be 1.25 or 1.5mm pitch.

A huge thanks to Peter and Joy from Kaneg.

I received my paddock stands today and couldn't be more happier.

Highly recommended to anyone needing hardware for their bikes. :kuda:
