Just thought I'd through this out to you guys. I was at broadford on the 9R which was running sweet then about 4 laps into a session it struggled to accelerate from around 5500rpms with full throttle, but did still accelerate did it again next corner so thought I might be running low on fuel. Pulled in topped up and went back out for my last session where it did it nearly always but would still rev out but some hesitation and sounding off. I'm thinking carny sync or partial blockage of jets?
I did disconnect the left ram duct to get access to the bolts to slip the yokes down the forks so maybe check if any leak there? But pretty sure it was plugged back on ok.
Will be investigating on Monday as it's my day off any tips on things to look at would be appreciated.

could be water in your fuel

Had a look at it yesterday drained tank of fuel and float bowls all clean no signs of water. Warmed it up and gave it a blip to see 3+4 slides lifting before 1+2 with 2 being the slowest. Had a go at syncing with a tube and oil but couldn't get it much better with the tube getting hot and potentially not sealing messing things up. I'll borrow some gauges and try again. All slides lift easily with finger and make a light sucking noise when dropped down.

It could be the fuel pump has gone bad . The only other thing I can think of is the float bowl pressurisation pipe has fallen off ?

Yep, it's almost guaranteed that it'll be that 1 of the ram air equalisaton tubes has become dislodged.

on all the zx9s i have had the fuel pump always went around 70,000 ks,dont replace it with original if it is the problem just fit electric pump heaps cheaper.

Thanks for all the tips guys had another look at it today and tested fuel pump which seemed to not be working. I found the connector on both pump and the relay had a fair bit of green fuzzy corrosion on the connectors. Gave them a clean with wd40 and a spare terminal. Hooked back up and tested well with priming n the start button then pulsing every 2-3 seconds at idle so pump looks good.
Also took the top of #2 carb as diaphragm didn't seem to be sealing right. In comparison with 1 3 4 when lifted with finger would drop quickly. So gave it a clean inside, inspected diaphragm for any cracking or holes looked ok, carefully reinstalled. Did finger test again and all for dropping at same speed. Fired her up and the all lift the same when blipped too.
Checked all my ram pipes were clear no bugs, blockages or leaks. Plan on putting it back together and take it for afew test squirts as I can't see any other reason it wouldn't be back on song now.

Here's a couple quick vids of what I think my main problem was with the #2 slide not lifting
http://youtu.be/qRqCQQrt0BQThen after reseating the diaphragm all slides back in sync!
