ZX7 / ZXR gear drive

Just out of curiosity, when did the 750's begin running gear drive cams? I believe the race kit first offered it for 97 but were the WSBK bikes running it much earlier???

Muzzy ran them for about half a season in late '95 on the last of the ZXRs.
