i was wondering if this has happended to anyone before or a common fault for this model? any light shed would be great thanks steve

i hope yours isn't broken it looks like a bitch of a job to get the motor out! no pumped to do it

I can't see this being a common fault otherwise we would have heard about it long ago somewhere.

In your case i think I would weld that portion you can see and get to and then pull the motor to do the inside. This way you shouldn't have any fear that the heat will warp or somehow move the correct mount positioning.
That said I would give Dave Kellet a call and ask his advise on it, 07 3290 2811, he is really good at frame engineering.

just got the motor out took about an hour bit of a bitch compared to my little 2 stoke's but done getting welded tomorrow so going to put in a lot of shed hours and hope to get it to marulan on sunday!

Steve,, just check when you get the engine back in that its a tight fit between the mount & the engine casting, if there is room in there, thats why it cracked in the first place. If there is room the bolt will pull the mounts together & crack it again.It should be a very snug fit.. No what I mean??

enigine is now in the beast, fully serviced lockwired and awaiting the fairings to be fitted up its coming to marulan pumped i can't wait for it :) :kuda:

thanks mate it felt pretty good very big and heavy compared to my little 2 strokes but plenty of potential juts have to learn gow to ride the beast, looking forward to having more time on it was fun, how was the trip home hope it went well.
