Can anyone tell me what the standard rear ride height should be for a '98-'00 ZX6R should be and where you are measuring from or whatyou're running at the track and again where you're measuring from-to?
cheers

I have the same model, I had the suspension done by a well known bloke, and the bike handled terrible, had no feeling in the front. Was advised by someone at a trackday that this model did not like being stood on its nose which is what the susp tuner had done, I put the forks flush with the top clamp and the rear ride height adjuster 5mm above min, 30mm sag at front, 25mm sag at rear, and the bike was instantly better, I think this would be a good place for you to start and tweek it from there.

I need to know how where to set the lock nut on the thread where it bolts through the frame bracket at the top of the shock.

Standard would be all the way down. Try 5mm up tho. Worked on my j series.

Stock is definatly all the way down.
BUT if you adjust the hieght up you need to put a packer between the bottom nut and the top of the shock. There are only two small welds that hold the bolt in there, AND THEY DO BREAK.

The bracket (gold) needs to take the load, not the bolt.
I'll get a picture of one of mine if you're not sure what i mean.
