Wondering if anyone can help please, a mate of mine is fitting a quick-action throttle to his GSXR 1000 (not everybody has good taste …). He’s looking to copy what I’ve done, which is to fit a ZX12 RH switchblock and ditch the throttle assembly.

What I’m looking for is for someone with access to a wiring diagram (preferably B3 or later) to look and tell me which colours are the two wires used for the killswitch.

had a look see in the library in my garage

i found the service manual for the A1 and A2 models ...but not the B1-B3 (it IS out there somewhere)

anyhow the A1-A2 manual shows 6 wires from theswitchblock-
2 for the brake light switch, 2 for the starter circuit and 2 for the engine stop
the Engine stop are BOTH shown as colour R/W...that is Red/white

hope that helps at the moment (will have another look tomorrow nite...there are about 60-70 manuals to sort thru )

Thanks Smitty, I think we should be right - I'll give him the colour and see how he gets on. I went to look at my own tonight, to discover that I'd heatshrunk it over ...

I had a look on google earlier.....and could only find B&W diagrams !!!

I think they're all in B&W now, unlike the good old days when a manual had a beautiful colour-coded wiiring diagram included. Mind you, looms are so intricate now maybe the cost of colour ink has killed it

Gos you want me to post up the page for the Kwaka manual???

maybe then better not coz.....
you need glasses binoculars and a magnifying glass to read them (yes its B&W) coz its all on one spread page
and I found it hard to read even though I have 20.20 vision!

if you want to mate - maybe just scan the bastard, and then stretch it by 100% ?? that will make it easier for us old blokes to read eh ?? btw I am sure I have a colour diagram somewhere.......

You could get a multimeter and check the continuity of the two wires you suspect are the right ones- a test with kill switch on and off will confirm which wires they are.

He could indeed, but not much point if someone has easy access to the info
