searching for radiator for 2000 ZX6R

Yet another thing wrong with the Green Machine (already had to replace the gearbox, fix a blown head gasket that's left 2nd warped, etc - only done 66000km) - further evidence of a hard life before we got the bike (looks like idiot ran tap water in it instead of demineralised water on the track).

Genuine part about $1200 (yes Kwakas parts are double price to the rest ffs), to get one fabricated will be about $700, though I've been advised against it because the fabricators buy a generic and modify - often using alloys too thick, etc.

My mechanic's finding difficulties tracking one down (who's condiction is better than mine), even in the eastern states. I can't even find one on ebay.

Can anyone help out? I've been advised to give findapart a try and have flipped them an email, but any other ideas? Will be greatful - I really don't want to see the Green Machine go - it's been part of our household for nearly 6 years - it feels like family.

Sadly it's looking more and more like a replacement is on the cards :(

Keep an eye on eBay, they do come up from time to time. I was thinking about replacing one in an old tracky because it was twisted (but in the end thought the better of it). I think they generally went for around $200 but only pop up from time to time I guess.

Thanks. Got only 2 replies for radiators about $350, plus shipping, plus fitting, plus repairs as needed. I got jack of that, got an excellent offer for a deal if I traded my bike in for a new bike, so I caved and put a deposit on it. I drop the green machine off and pick my new bike up next week. Will be going on a farewell Green Machine ride this weekend for old time sake. Will be teary, but I'll get through it *sniff* *sniff*.
