FINALLY - its on the road !!

Hey guys I originally posted a thread a year or so ago under the name of v8-vh, (zxr250 wont run properly)
I cant log in under that name so I created a new one (they are the numberplates on my LJ torana ) anyways
The thing is finally on the road.. all beit.. in need of some fairing. I dodged up the gauges with a mate before he was killed in a car accident, stuck the thing under the house again and stayed away from it (and my torana)
I got my shit sorted, picked up a crappy/gay lookin headlight for the front, and a shit bit of plastic to cover the guts of the guages, rattle canned it all black. got the carbs rebuilt, everything got a going over, (brakes, general service)
Been out riding for the past couple of weekends.. I do feel like I need a bigger bike lol. it makes more noise than anything.. and I end up coming home DEAF as shit from the can thats on it.

did a run up mt nebo after work (2am) friday. good fun. been everywhere.. bit shamed out at the queer shade of purple on the rims lol but I dont have time, or the energy to bother painting them till the whole bike is being put together.

I wil try attatch a pic.. Im warning you its not pretty. but at least its on the road,
I am tracking down the fairing, the local guys in bris simply refuse to supply the vasoline when I am quoted prices (so they can f*ck me up the ass with their bullshit) if anyone has anything laying around I need top, 2 x sides, headlight, bracket screen and air ducts (want it back to original to sell it and go bigger) with the plastics I dont mind chips scratches maybe cracks just so long as I can repair them and paint them.

I also had someone on here asking about fibreglass repro's of the fairings I had.. now I have since left that company, and the moulds I did get to finish I binned them out of spite cause the assholes would probably make money off them, sorry but it was almost a goer I cant log in to see who it was I was almost finished one side to try fitting on the bike. I will try to get the gear sorted from a mate who is in the industry and see if we can knock some up cheaper for everyone (the prices IMO are bullshit elsewhere) he is an experienced mould maker.

Oh yeah and after 3 weekends of 4wd dickheads trying to run me over. I have fitted air horns, you cant see them, but they are so good to frighten the shit out of sunnybank drivers who dont watch where they are going. it probably didnt help that I matt blacked the whole damn bike but its only temporary.

thats my bro on the bike, he actually picked the wreck up for free so I took it up to show him the day I got it rego'd

Oh yeah, this is day one on my licence.. on the test ride before I took it to get the roadworthy...

Well the story goes. I was a fair way out of town, I wanted to take it for a hoon down the highway to make sure it didnt overheat or anything cause I do a bit of distance to work.
So on the way back. I over take a truck. at about 140 I pull infront of it, and a cop car comes round the corner :O. goes me... and I kept standing up and looking behind me to see if they turned around. as I am turning around to sit back down... a paddy wagon is hiding in someones driveway...
they finally caught up to me and only did me for unregistered $120, and uninsured $150 no points. cop was a bit of a smart ass too I used to get along with the local guys especially having the car doing test laps around the block at full noise. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aI8VZaY9q0o
Tried to tell me he can fine me for defective shit cause I had no fairing.. um yep.... sure...
Tracked down some cheap fairing. 500 odd to get me back to stock. not bad ! considering the local guys wanted 350 for just the top fairing. fingers crossed the guy sounded geniune and is posting them up from NSW.

yeah I thought about it afterwards. despite bein grumpy he did go pretty light on me. I even got to ride it 5k's home
