ZX6R 1998 - possible purchase

I had a look at this ZX6R yesterday with 40,000kms on it. Farings all looks original, no crash damage, no fresh sprayed parts etc. Just been checked and serviced and the shop will also give me a limited warranty for $5999.

Just looking for any thing to look for on this model or comments from others who have ridden/owned a ZX6R 1998 etc.

It should be a pretty good bike, and 40,000 km's is not a lot on one of these, but $6k is probably a bit over the going rate IMHO - I think Jason sold his neat '01 model 6r for $6400. Check for cracks to the frame at the front left engine mount (from memory) - I seem to remember they had a bit of a habit of cracking there.

I might be able to get them down a few more $$$
But from checking other ZX6R 1988 on BikePoint, Bike Sales and Trading Post, the price is average to good. I couldn't see any better ones for less $$$.
