Actually what they do is this -
Because the "Ram Air" system imparts such a force on the carb slides it causes them to jam / stick in their guides because of the air pressure against them. These tubes do something magical and balance this positive force with a negative - Yin Yang / The force, Dark side - kinda stuff and make the Kawasaki motorbicycle propel itself ever faster towards the horizon.
