I'm the guy in Newcastle.
I have a full fairing set but all needs painting, I gave up on a sticker kit, trying to bring it back to original.
What sort of condition are your fairings in ? It would be nice to just bolt a good set straight on & go riding.
Regards

Ah; mine are a fibreglass set that I got with my trackie but they've got the light holes cut into them so bought a new set!

Should pass pink slip with them on if you drill some indicators into them!

Curious, How much did you pay for the full fairing kit Jim? I think you told me before but I cant remember?

I wanted a project so I only paid $1100 for my bike (then sold all the left over fairings n brackets n bits n pieces etc that I did not need)
Just could not afford to get a new set of fairings etc & paint + resto all the other bits it needed so I had no choice really but to turn it into a streetfighter
If I win the lotto I would probably like a ZXR 750 in original stock condition with the fairings on one day.....

Thats a nice looking example you have there Will, I thought the fairing colours like the blue green were originally just painted & the writing (Kawasaki etc) was stickers under the clear?

You need to get rid of the ZX7R stickers on the tank Will, Its a ZXR 750?

The blue on the fairing is a sticker, the green is paint.
I paid around $1150 for the race fairing kit which came with the front halves, tail unit, mud guard and screen. They came pre-drilled and with all fixings.

It was a $1000 ebay purchase & the last 3 owners bought her to do up but never got around to it, it seems. Thanks to all of them we ended up with a bike that all the parts were sourced & just needed some effort.
I know the tank sticker is wrong but it came with the bike, a manilla folder full, but none for the model, & It looks better with that than none.
The paint work is wrong too but I haven't got the patience to mask up the blue to match the original decals.
Ive spent many hours scouring the internet far & wide for original parts & decals etc & the prices are just ridiculous, if they halved them they'd probably sell out, but instead they'll just end up with a warehouse full of new old stock, scratching their heads wondering why.
Weve just done up a couple of Honda NSR's for the kids & we can get original new factory parts from Thailand for a tenth of the price.
I think the importers here are the problem, you can clearly see weve been ripped off in the past. The dealers are embarrassed when they quote a price for a part, it's out of their hands.
Anyway I'm just busting to get it on the road so I think I'll just persevere with what I've got & get it finished.
Spend so far is about $500, thats parts & DIY 2K paint so with rego I'm aiming for about a $2k bike, I'm very happy.
Weve just started the next build on a 97 GSXR 750 & the build quality is very poor, I don't know if its because the materials are so light but the welds are bloody awful, she's not the bike the zxr is but we'll see when it's ridden.
The K & N filter arrived today & the blinker relay should come this week. I've installed the original rear blinkers & I have the fronts except the rats have eaten the rubber base parts. So if anyone has some I'm in the market, there must be hundreds around, it seems like the first mod everyone makes when they get their new bike.
Looking forward to the quiet life !

willrcr15 You should do a build thread to show us how it started & what you are up to now

How is yours coming along Jim?
