Any brake shop can do it if you take photos of the fittings, it's whether you want ADR approved ones or not, then you're probably best of looking at HEL lines which I got because mine is a road bike.

I'm in the process of finalising my new brake setup.
Hopefully someone can recommend clear hose(preferered) type and place of purchase for brake fluid reservoir to Master cylinder 6mm or quater inch ID. I know they sell the HRC ones on ebay but a bit pricey!
Cheers

Hey Max, this is where I got my clear hose from

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1-4-Tygon-23 ... 20cfce78e0

What type or reservoir are you after, genuine brembo or a copy from Hong Kong, China etc

The only place I could find it on Oz was up in Queensland and it was twice the price and delivery cost more too, go figure. How much do you need?

amazing how we get ripped off in this country for so many things! :(
Only need around 150mm Maximum. Going to do some research and see what I can find locally hopefully for the right price.

how is $8 per foot being ripped off ?? Nobody will sell you 150mm of *anything* really, there are minimum lengths/weights etc of just about everything. Even Supercrap charge a minimum per-length cost for fuel hose etc........

Sounds to me, like you want someone to pay you for the privelege of relieving them of the burden of carrying 150mm too much hose !

What I'm saying is that the length per metre is expensive. I will happily buy a metre at what I think is a reasonable price even if I only use 150mm. Sounds to me like You got out the wrong side of bed?

length per metre ? Who needs a metre of this stuff ?

You need 150mm, its $8 per foot, will cost you $4 plus postage to get your brake line. Sounds pretty cheap to me ?

I am just interested in what you think is a *fair* price, if $4 for a short length of brake hose is being ripped off ??

Yeh we got ripped of for a lot of things in Oz, but clear brake hose is not one of them.......

I have no idea mate - maybe 2c per metre ? Who cares ? Things cost money. If this hose was $30 per foot I would agree with you about the cost being excessive. But its not $30 per foot, its $8.

I have looked for similiar hose at Supercrap etc and not found anything - probably because this type of hose is specially made to cope with brake fluid. That is why this hose is a tad more exxy than standard clear plastic hose - sure, that stuff is only $5 per metre or whatever - but you need the real deal.

Well then looks like $27/m plus postage is the price you got to pay for the right stuff :D

well it would be if you had to buy a metre.....

but you can buy 300mm if you want. You only need 150mm. Costs like $13 or something inc postage, you get enough to do 2 bikes.

I am all for whinging about getting ripped off, if its a dinkum whinge. You are whinging about how much you could *potentially* be ripped off. Its not dinkum really is it ?

Maybe if you bought 100m in a big roll, it would come down in price a bit ??
