Yep another zx7r rider right here, mines a 97 model picked it up about 4 months ago.

I pick up my "99 model on Monday, strip her down fit race glass, check and adjust carbies, find a full Akra exhaust and some nissin calipers..... bears and Barry Sheene festival look out lol

You wont be racing that Jappa in bears unless its in a Harris, Spondon or some other exotic frame

Yet to find the exact rule in writing but as long as nothing has changed in production since the "95 cut off its ok, and in my case the '99 is still carbie fed and no engine differences.
Unless you know any other ruling pls let me know as it BS hard to find exactly what's right and wrong.

I think Rob is refereing to racing in Bears - which stands for British, Euro, american racing series or something. So no Jap bikes in there.
The PCRA who run the Barry Sheene allow the zx7r in as it hasn't changed from 96 to 2001 - and there was some with build dates in 95, which is how the 96 + models gets in..

Sorry yeah correct for Bears, up to '02 actually in PCRA...
Shame Murray decided to keep his, now its sorted...lol

Its a good series with the PCRA this year, with 2 races at the creek - St George only have one.
Good fun racing too, even an old bloke like me can get on the front row...
