swapping motors on zx12

have just bought an 03 zx12(damaged) and want to put the motor in my 05 is there any reason i cant just stick the motor in and use my computer and fuel injection etc, basically just swap the bare motor and leave all my gear in place ?????? help please motorcycle gods i dont want to fuck anything else this thing has already cost me to much
