How much do you think this will go for?

I found this zxr250 in a damaged vehicle auction and im wondering what a rough estimate of the final price would be. Im hoping to pick it up for cheap then get to work and have it ready for my L's.

Auctions are like juries. You can never tell beforehand how its going to turn out. I've seen bikes like that go for half as much as one thats been hit up the bum by a car. I've seen some that are obviously a pile of rubbish go for almost new price.It depends how many people want it badly enough, whether the previous owner is there to buy it back, and finally, the reserve prices can vary wildly depending on which insurance company has it.
Work out what it needs to get it on the road and how much it is likely to cost. Take that away from what it would cost to buy a registered goer, and decide from there what you're willing to pay. Then stick to it. If someone wants to pay more, let them. There will be another auction next week.

Yeah you've got a few good points there. I suppose there's no really predicting the auction market no matter how much you study it, well wish me luck

umm it doesnt look that bad..id expect it would fetch $3500+

undamaged rego'd ones are going for abt $4500-5K...
