ZXR250 project

Hey guys, picked up a ZXR250 and im keen to get it running, roadworthy and registered. Its a 1993 ZXR250C model. I did have a 1989 CBR250 import in 1995, i have heard the Kwaka was the pick of the 4 cylinder 250's.
Its a bit rough, but seems to all be there. Lots of strange bolts in the fairings, some untidy wiring going on. Previous owner was given the bike, did get the engine running, but said it ran very rough, reakoned the starter was gone because it was clicking and wouldnt start..... anyways.... if they heard it running thats a positive. Its got new tyres and a new carbon type exhaust. Front end looks awesome, fckn huge upsidedown forks!! and a twin 300mm disc brakes.
I have not touched the bike yet. Got a battery, right mirror and left handlebar which is all i could see it needed to start with.
Gunna drain the carbs, flush with fresh fuel, and try and start it when i get a chance.
Any input from you guys would be great.

does anyone know if the aftermarket CDI/ECU actually does anything. Link of one below. Not looking for more power or revs, only if it runs better. Apparently there was a 250R version which had a different CDI/ECU

i sold all previous ZXR250'S..... never got them running..
picked this up 6 months ago... want to keep it...
1989 ZXR250A. got all the parts... needs some work..
