rear indicator question, 2005 zx6r

hey guys, ive just bought myself a 2005 zx6r(was going to buy the zx7r in the fs section, but got a good price on the 6), after 2 honda's, thought it was time for something with a little more personality lol
although, as of late ive noticed the lhs indicators are being a bit temperamental.
ill be riding along as per usual, click to indicate and notice the light on the dash isn't working, ill look down and sure enough the indicators arent either. ill then try the rhs and it will be fine, the indicators will work 100% of the time and the light flashes on the dash. then today, the lhs were working fine for 3 or 4 hours, but when i was almost home, nothing.

theres a strange 'whirring' coming from the rear of the bike, only when im trying to use the lhs indicators. im guessing its the flasher relay, but i also think the power commander might have knocked something loose? i know its been in at least 1 crash, but im not sure if this would have anything to do with it

im guessing theres a loose wire somewhere, just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem?

also, i bought a set of new rear indicators the other day, just wondering if you can fit them without removing the rear fairing?
